Photoelectric Smoke Detectors are an integral part of your total protection package. These smoke detectors can be connected to our central monitoring station 24 hours a day—seven days a week regardless of whether you have your security system armed or not.

This means if you are away when a fire starts—rather than simply making a noise that no one may hear, the fire department will be notified in time to minimize the fire’s damage. Most importantly, if you’re home in the event of a fire, it means you can focus on the important task of gathering your family and retreating to safety outside—without using valuable time calling 911.

Unlike conventional Smoke Detectors, the battery is installed at the panel location. This eliminates the need to replace batteries at each detector. When the battery is in need of replacement the keypads will annunciate the problem. If they are directly connected to your control panel, they enjoy the same robust standby battery that powers your system in the event of a local utility power failure.

We recommends installing Photoelectric Smoke Detectors in all main hallways and near stairways.
