Sales ManagerInterface Security Systems - New Orleans, LA

SUMMARY
Manage sales activities by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Define sales personnel quotas and sales goals in order to achieve overall branch sales production goals.
  • Work with Sales Representatives in order to develop professional, quality, presentations and proposals.
  • Stay abreast of all product offerings in order to work with sales personnel in developing sales strategies.
  • Work with administration in order to assure accurate and timely sales production reporting is achieved.
  • Continually motivate sales people and re-invigorate them after potential opportunities are lost.
  • Recruit new sales professionals.
  • Monitor and evaluate the activities and products of the competition.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma
  • Experience of 3 to 5 years in sales management.

SKILLS and ABILITIES

  • Highly motivated and the ability to motivate others.
  • Proven track record in new business development.
  • Excellent verbal / written communication and presentation skills.

While performing the duties of this job, employee is regularly required to sit in an office environment.  Employee is frequently required to talk or hear to interact with employees/customers.  Employee is frequently required to use the telephone.  Employee will frequently use a personal computer. The employee is occasionally required to stand, crouch, kneel, climb or crawl to maintain files. The employee must frequently lift objects up to 10 pounds that could include company materials, files and small equipment.  Specific vision abilities by this job include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus in order to view reports, computer screen, forms and operating manuals.   Employee will also be required to travel by car or airplane.

Work is performed indoors in a fluorescent lit workspace at the employer’s office. Employee may also visit customer site.
