WAN Engineer - Interface Security Systems, Earth City, MO

SUMMARY
This position is responsible for providing support for our managed IP services network. The position will have advanced IP routing experience. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, implement and operate core and access network elements, including topology/connectivity, routing, and switching, traffic management and configuration.
• Assist with internal and external disaster recovery networks, including firewalls.
• Work with vendors and in house technical staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• 5 - 7 years of previous network experience.
• Candidates should also have a BSEE or equivalent.
• Experience with the following: DWDM, Sonet, OCx, DS3, T1, ATM, Frame Relay, MPLS, VLANs, Cisco, IOS & ACLs, Linux, Perl & the Apache web server.
• Advanced routing protocol experience including BGP4, OSPF, and EIGRP.
• Cisco certifications highly desirable.

SKILLS and ABILITIES
Must have the ability to work in a team atmosphere and be a self-starter.

The employee must frequently lift objects up to 10 pounds that could include company materials, files and small equipment. Specific vision abilities by this job include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus in order to view reports, computer screen, forms and operating manuals.
