Network Administrator - Interface Systems, Earth City, MO

SUMMARY
This position is responsible for all design, maintenance, administration and analysis for the corporate network and network security. This position provides direct support on all network hardware and software matters, installs network software, and assists the IT Director with project management. This person must be a highly motivated, self-starting, team-player dedicated to providing support to their customers. Reports directly to the Director of Information Technology.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate, troubleshoot and maintain network ensuring 'zero downtime'.
  • Design, maintenance and administration of corporate LAN/WAN.
  • Develop, implement and continuously improve our IT Systems and infrastructure.
  • Server administration for Windows servers, Exchange 2003 Server and Terminal Services.
  • Network Administration including data backup, security management, user account management, Exchange administration, scripting, advanced application and desktop support, hardware support and performance monitoring.
  • Provide help desk support to 600+ employee's across the WAN.
  • Performs and/or manages small to advanced projects as designed.
  • Develop professional relationships with third party vendors.
  • Thorough documentation of common procedures and resolutions.
  • Provide on call, 24/7 support to our Secure Operations Center on a rotating basis.
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related degree or equivalent education/work experience.
  • 5 - 10 years of Network Administration experience.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Server Active Directory, Group Policies, Exchange 2003 and Terminal Services.
  • Strong LAN/WAN networking experience including VPN, TCP/IP, VLANs, VOIP, DNS, DHCP and network security protocols.
  • Expertise with Cisco PIX Firewalls, Cisco routers, and Cisco Concentrator. Cisco certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of Blackberry Enterprise Server.
  • Experience with Symantec Endpoint Security, Filebound, RightFax, Navision, IIS, Veritas Backup Exec, Barracuda Spam Filter a plus.
  • Expertise with setup, configuration and troubleshooting of all Dell desktop, notebooks and servers.

SKILLS and ABILITIES

  • Must have the ability to work in a team atmosphere and be a self-starter.
  • Must have excellent people skills. This position will interact directly with end-users.

The employee must frequently lift objects up to 10 pounds that could include company materials, files and small equipment. Specific vision abilities by this job include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus in order to view reports, computer screen, forms and operating manuals.
