Keypads for Alarm Systems

Numerical pad with push buttons that control the arming and disarming of a system.

The keypad is your interface with the security system. It’s used to arm and disarm the system and can tell you the status of the devices you have connected—the keypad makes it easy to understand what’s happening with your security system. Our technicians will customize the keypad to display the protected areas of your home.

For example, if a motion sensor should detect activity in your game room, the keypad’s display window will read: “Motion Game Room.”

The keypad can also work with the control panel’s real time clock to allow you to program timed functions in your home, such as lighting or alarm arming/disarming. This may require additional equipment at additional cost. It also gives you a timed exit feature where you can adjust how much time you have to enter/exit your home once your system is armed/disarmed.

Many keypads are also available with a panic button feature to notify authorities during an emergency situation. Interface recommends that keypads be placed in the garage entry, main entry, and master bedroom.
